Claude Rouillard, PhD

Claude Rouillard received his PhD in Neuroscience from Laval University in 1988. After postdoctoral work at Wayne State University in Detroit, Dr Rouillard established his independent research as an assistant professor in the department of Pharmacology at Laval University in 1990. He is currently full professor in the department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the same university. He obtained salary awards from the Fonds de la Recherche en Santé du Québec and research grants from Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada, the Canadian Institutes for Health research, The Parkinson Society of Canada, the Parkinson ’s Disease Foundation (USA) and the Stanley Research Medical Institute (USA). He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles. His lab is working on understanding the role of NR4A nuclear receptors in the brain and their intricate relationship with dopamine neurotransmission.
