David James Hallett, PhD, MSc, MA, BA

Dr. Hallett is executive vice president of chemistry at Evotec, where he has global responsibility for all of Evotec’s chemistry activities and capabilities. He is a medicinal chemist by training, with 15 years drug discovery experience in the pharma and biotech sectors with a particular focus on diseases of the central nervous system, pain and inflammation. He was educated at Cambridge before obtaining a PhD at the University of Manchester followed by post-doctoral studies at the University of Texas at Austin. He joined Evotec in 2005 after almost 10 years at Merck’s neuroscience research facility in the UK. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Society for Neuroscience and the Society of Chemical Industry.
