David Weston, PhD, holds a BSc degree in physics, an MSc degree in computing and a PhD degree in machine learning, all from Imperial College London, UK. He is currently a lecturer (assistant professor) at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, Birkbeck College, University of London, where he studies statistical analysis in cell biology. Using modern data science methods, he recently developed new research tools that can help describe the inner structure of complex living cells.
