Dong-Youn Hwang, PhD

Dr. Hwang completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science at Seoul National University, Korea, and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine. He did his postdoctoral training at the Center for Neurologic Diseases in Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School and became Instructor at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2000. His primary focus is elucidating the role of transcription factors in the development of midbrain dopaminergic neurons. His research has been supported by the Parkinson's Disease Foundation and National Parkinson Foundation (2003-2004) and the NARSAD (2004-2006).
