Dr. Ioannidisis a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the University of Ioannina School of Medicine in Greece and Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree and a doctorate in Biopathology at the University of Athens Medical School. He has authored over 250 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact biomedical journals. Dr. Ioannidis' research interests include evidence-based medicine, clinical and molecular epidemiololgy, genetic epidemiology, meta-analysis, mathematical modeling, clinical research methods, infectious diseases and chronic diseases.
