Professor Nir Giladi is an internationally recognized neurologist and opinion leader in the field of movement disorders, particularly Parkinson's disease (PD), gait and dystonia, genetic and epidemiological aspects of movement disorders and aging. As director of the Brain Division and past chairman of the Neurological Institute at Tel Aviv Medical Center (2007-2022), he lead dozens of translational research projects yearly, and has access to a very large patient pool, as well as medical facilities and infrastructure. In addition to multiple clinical trials at stages I-IV, the Neurological Institute is involved in basic research, mainly in neuroimmunology, neurogenetics, cognitive neurosciences, neuroimaging and neurophysiology. Since 2007, Prof. Giladi has concentrated on translational research in all sub-disciplines of neurology. He has published more than 400 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and his h-index based on Google Scholar in December 2022 is 117, with i10 index 412 and citation index 54805.
