Dr. Carvey is currently the Chairman of Pharmacology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He received his BS and MS in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha. He completed his PhD at Rush University in 1982 under the mentorship of Harold L. Klawans, MD, a noted Movement Disorder Specialist. Dr. Carvey's laboratory has focused on Parkinson's disease his entire career and is widely published. He is also the author of a Textbook in Neuropharmacology.
