Dr. Sayuri Miyamoto is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (USP), with internationally recognized expertise in redox lipidomics and the chemistry of oxidized lipids. Her research focuses on redox-active lipids, including oxylipins and oxysterols, and their roles as biomarkers and signaling mediators in neurodegeneration, cancer, and inflammatory diseases. She integrates advanced mass spectrometry-based platforms with stable-isotope tracing and multi-omics approaches to study lipid metabolism and oxidative stress in biological systems. Dr. Miyamoto leads the Laboratory of Modified Lipids at USP and coordinates multi-institutional projects on redox lipidomics and biomarker discovery, supported by national and international funding agencies. She actively serves on editorial boards of international journals and scientific societies, including the Society for Redox Biology and Medicine (SfRBM) and the Brazilian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq), contributing to global efforts in lipid biochemistry and redox biology
