Shelley B. Weinstock, PhD

Senior Vice President of Research and Scientific Affairs at Zymes LLC

Dr. Weinstock is senior vice president of Research and Scientific Affairs at Zymes LLC and has been with Zymes since 2006, supporting the research and development of products affecting neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. Her research interests include the evaluation of Zymes’ water-soluble coenzyme Q10 for neuroprotection in pre-clinical models of Parkinson’s disease. She is also currently on the teaching faculty at the Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia University. Prior to Zymes, Dr. Weinstock was on the faculty at Montclair State University and Barnard College of Columbia University. Dr. Weinstock earned her PhD in nutritional biochemistry and metabolism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she studied the biochemical effects of statins. Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at Harvard School of Public Health where she was also a fellow in the Interdisciplinary Programs in Health.
