Sylvie Forlani, PhD

Sylvie Forlani is a research engineer at the DNA and Cell Bank at the Neuroscience Research Center (CRicm), located at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.

She has a PhD in developmental biology (1998) and completed two post-doctoral trainings in this field (1998-2001: Hubrecht laboratory, Utrecht, The Netherlands; 2001-2003: Pasteur Institute, Paris, France).

Due to her personal interest in biobanks, she joined the team of Pr Alexis Brice in 2004, to work in collaboration with the DNA and cell bank as assistant coordinator and data manager in research networks on spinocerebellar disorders. She became the coordinator of the biobank in 2009. The DNA and cell bank is dedicated to the creation and management of collections of DNA, lymphoblast cell lines and fibroblast primary cultures, for biomedical research projects in neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Forlani is credited as author of more than 30 research papers in international journals.
