Dr. Hesterkamp is executive vice president discovery biology at Evotec, where he manages biology resources throughout relevant drug discovery disciplines. This includes biochemical and biophysical assays; fragment-based drug discovery; cellular assays including high-throughput imaging, ion channels and neurobiology; and HTS and NMR based screening. He joined Evotec in 2000 after three years with the Swiss pharmaceutical company Arpida. Dr. Hesterkamp graduated from the University of Marburg, Germany, as a human biologist. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Society for Biomolecular Sciences.
