Tim West, PhD

Dr. West obtained his PhD in molecular cell biology from Washington University in 2006, wwhre he conducted his graduate thesis research and post-doctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. David Holtzman. In those capacities, Dr. West led a small group of scientists and technicians studying cell death after neonatal stroke and hypoxic-ischemic injury. During 2006 and 2007, he also served as Assistant Director of Technology Development for the Hope Center for Neurological Disorders at the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. West was hired in 2007 as the Director of Laboratory Operations of C2N Diagnostics. In this capacity he worked to setup the C2N Diagnostics lab and establish successful technology transfer from Washington University, performing quality control on the SILK-Aβ™ assay as well as directing the further research and development of the technology. The lab focuses on measuring the metabolism of protein drug targets in the central nervous system.
