YuHong is a senior research fellow in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, School of Medical Science, Neuroscience Theme at the Brain and Mind Centre of the University of Sydney. She specializes in neuropathology and the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disease and leads the Spatial Neuropathology & Neuroscience Group that focuses on selective neuronal vulnerability and glial pathogenic pathways in synucleinopathies. She has been studying the pathogenic mechanisms of PD with animal models and post-mortem human tissue. Her advanced histopathology expertise and extensive multidisciplinary research experience allows YuHong to interpret research data among species with clinical translation.
