Dr. Tannous is an Assistant professor of Neurology in the Neuroscience Program at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant in Neuroscience in the Departments of Neurology and Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His research focuses on novel imaging and therapeutics modalities for diseases of the brain including tumors and movement disorders. Dr. Tannous received his PhD from the University of Windsor, Canada and did his Post-doctoral training with Professor Ralph Weissleder at the Center for Molecular Imaging Research and Professor Xandra Breakefield in the Molecular Neurogenetics Unit, both at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has received the Young Investigator, Pathway to Independence Award from NIH/NCI and the Young Investigator Award from the Society for Molecular Imaging Research. He currently serves on many review committees including Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and the Department of Defense.
