Dr. Turner is a Professor and Vice Dean for Education at the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Turner is a chemical engineer by training and focuses on environmental science and engineering. Specifically, his research primarily focuses on the characterization and management of air quality, with an emphasis on field measurements and data analysis designed to support applications in health studies, atmospheric science, and regulation and policy arenas. Dr. Turner’s current and recent research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Transportation, Airport Cooperative Research Program of the Transportation Research Board, and UNICEF. He is the past president of the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR) and a member of the U.S. EPA chartered Science Advisory Board (SAB).
