Leslie Cloud, MD, is an associate professor of neurology and director of the Parkinson's Disease Program at Virginia Commonwealth University's Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center. She is a clinician-investigator whose research program is focused on the development and testing of novel therapeutics (both pharmacological and non-pharmacological) for Parkinson's disease patients. Her recent work has focused on the development of a novel medication to treat gastrointestinal symptoms, novel deep brain stimulation techniques to treat dementia and the use of vibration therapy applied to the feet to treat freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease. Dr. Cloud earned a master's degree in clinical research at Emory University and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She completed an internship, neurology residency and movement disorders fellowship at Emory University.
