Madeleine Sharp is a neurologist specializing in movements disorders at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University. Her research focuses on understanding the cognitive mechanisms underlying cognitive and behavioural symptoms in patients with neurodegenerative disorders, in particular, Parkinson’s disease. The long-term goal is to develop a framework for understanding the many cognitive and behavioural phenotypes of Parkinson’s disease that takes into consideration genetics, pathophysiology, co-morbidities and social factors.
