Dr. Ziv Gan-Or is a neurogeneticist who studies the genetics of Parkinson’s disease, REM sleep behavior disorder and other neurodegenerative disorders. He is an associate professor at the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital (The Neuro), McGill University. There, he serves as the co-director of the Clinical Research Unit, which performs all the clinical trials at The Neuro, and as the director of the Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Group. Dr. Gan-Or is also an adjunct member of the department of human genetics at McGill University. His lab, the Neurogeneomics and Precision Medicine (NAP-Med) lab, is using advanced genomics and computational methods to study these diseases, with an aim at identifying targets for therapy at the population and the individual levels.
