Dr. Jean-Charles Gautier is a scientific advisor in pre-clinical safety at Sanofi and is based in Paris, France. Dr. Gautier has a MD from the Faculty of Medicine at Dijon, masters in biochemistry from University of Paris 6 and PhD in toxicology from University of Paris 7. He joined Aventis Pharma in 2000 where he studied mechanisms of toxicity to find novel biomarkers. Dr. Gautier is involved in the qualification of safety biomarkers in consortia, such as International Life Sciences Institute Health Environmental Sciences Institute (ILSI-HESI), Critical-Path Institute Predictive Safety Testing Consortium (CPI PSTC) and Innovative Medicines Initiative Safer and Faster Evidence based-Translation (IMI SAFE-T). He has published several journal articles and book chapters.
