Edward Kalikow

Edward Kalikow is a third-generation leader in his family’s real estate enterprise and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Kalikow Group, a diversified real estate investment and management firm headquartered in Westbury, New York.

Kalikow earned his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University School of Management, graduating magna cum laude in 1975. He received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law School in 1978 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1979.  

Since assuming leadership of The Kalikow Group in 1979, Kalikow has overseen all aspects of the firm’s operations. The company currently owns and manages approximately 2,000 rental and unsold cooperative units in the New York metropolitan area. Through its affiliated management company, Kaled Management Corp., the firm also provides third-party management services for an additional 5,000 residential units, including rentals, cooperatives, condominiums and homeowners associations.   

Under Kalikow’s direction, The Kalikow Group has significantly expanded its national investment portfolio. The firm’s investment division has deployed over $290 million in equity across real estate projects — including shopping centers, multifamily rental communities, single-family developments and condominiums — representing over $1 billion in total value across U.S. markets.   

In recent years, Kalikow has focused on developing rental apartment communities and single-family rental homes, with an emphasis on emerging markets in the Southeastern United States.  He continues to guide the firm’s strategic vision, leveraging decades of industry expertise and a commitment to long-term value creation across all facets of real estate development and management.  

Beyond his professional work, Kalikow is active in philanthropy. In addition to his work with The Michael J. Fox Foundation, he also supports the United Jewish Appeal, an organization dedicated to supporting Jewish communities worldwide, and supports Shalva, a nonprofit organization in Jerusalem that provides support and services to individuals with disabilities.
