Jen serves as Chief Financial Officer, guiding the organization’s financial and technology strategy, planning, and execution ensuring the utmost fiscal responsibility. She and her team partner with all areas of MJFF to create processes, tools, and reporting that enables the Foundation’s mission to end Parkinson’s Disease. Jen works closely with the Foundation's executive leadership and Board of Directors to establish long-range goals, policies and plans that ensure effective financial stewardship and sustainability to advance the Foundation’s mission.
Before joining MJFF, Jen worked in healthcare strategy, finance and operations roles with government, non-profit and for-profit entities. Jen previously held the role of CFO at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services before and during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, overseeing a $1.6 trillion budget and audit. In this role, she was instrumental in securing and managing $325 billion in COVID-19 emergency funds. She served on the Operation Warp Speed board, which brought a COVID-19 vaccine to market in record time. Jen also created a government-wide shared services organization for $750 billion in grants. She led annual planning and budget development collaboratively with 25 divisions, enabling funding for critical public health initiatives.
Jen graduated with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond. She also holds a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation. Originally from Maine, Jen owns and maintains her family’s 100+year old summer cottage on Long Island, Maine and serves on the town’s Finance Committee.
