OPEN FULL-TIME POSITIONS

 

Associate Director, HR Training & Development

As a member of the Human Resources team, the AD HR will work closely with the CFAO in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR training and development initiatives. This includes but is not limited to; identifying topics, leading and presenting training sessions, sourcing internal staff to lead and present training sessions, sourcing external support resources, preparing materials as needed, communicating with staff and management team, implementing and coordinating organizational training and development initiatives, and evaluating outcomes.

 

 

Office Manager & Operations Specialist

The Office Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day office services at the Foundations two offices including maintenance and repairs, management of reception function, supervision of Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, conference room services, managing office budget and expense payments as well as mail and office operations.

 

 

Web Developer

The Web Developer will work closely with the Digital Strategy team to identify and implement opportunities that will help the Foundation better engage its online audience. Key qualities of an outstanding web developer include strong technical skills, organization skills, interpersonal skills, a self-starter, positive disposition, solid judgment, excellent time management skills as well as an innate sense of pace and urgency. Equally important is the ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and within a team environment.

 

 

Associate Director, Research Partnerships

The Associate Director, Research Partnerships will support the teams efforts related to engaging patients in clinical research. Finding new therapies is dependent on a ready and able patient population willing to engage in and provide data for research. The Foundation is particularly interested in leveraging technology to assemble a critical mass of individuals primed for research participation. Fox Trial Finder (FTF) is one example of this work. FTF is an online tool launched in 2011 to match individuals with the trials that need them. Learning from the success of FTF and the seeing the communitys positive response to engaging in research , MJFF will be launching in 2014 a new online opportunity to conduct a virtual study to collect patient-reported data a Patient Centered Research Tool (PCRT). Together PCRT and FTF represent exciting opportunities to further encourage patient engagement in Parkinsons research.

 

 

Director, Digital Marketing

The rapid and prioritized growth of digital communications at the Foundation (since 2011, we have doubled our website traffic and email list and increased our Facebook audience from 17,000 to 336,000) requires adding an important new member to our team we are searching for an energetic, highly motivated Director of Digital Marketing. Reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, and managing a team working on social media strategy and CRM analytics, this position will be responsible for taking our digital marketing initiatives to the next level as we seek continued growth in all audiences (patients, researchers, Foundation supporters). The primary need is for a hands-on architect of a rational and integrated structure for all online marketing activities, including email, websites, ecommerce, online advertising, and social media campaigns, in order to attain analytics-driven performance improvement on engagement conversions across the board.

 

 

Team Fox Athletics Officer

The position of Team Fox Athletics Officer is a unique opportunity for a dedicated, entrepreneurial, results-oriented community fundraiser to make a significant impact on our growing athletic program within Team Fox community fundraisers. The Team Fox Athletics Officer will work closely with the Director, Development and Senior Associate Director to promote, recruit, manage and retain sponsored athletic programs and their members across the country (including New York City Marathon, Chicago Marathon, Walt Disney World Marathon, NYC Triathlon, etc.). In 2013, over 400 athletes participated in 12 events throughout the US and Canada. Plans are underway for 14 events in 2014. Additionally the Team Fox Athletics Officer will also help support Team Fox members choosing to participate in their own athletic events in order to raise funds and awareness for MJFF. This is an onsite position in our New York City office and is not conducive to telecommuting.

 

 

Associate Director, Donor Analytics

The Foundation continues to rapidly evolve and grow. The Associate Director, Donor Analytics is a newly created role to provide expertise and strategic support to measurably improve and expand the Foundations nuanced approach to fundraising and outreach. This position will provide management with robust assessments and analysis needed to ensure thoughtful resource commitment and real-time evaluation, establishing robust reporting tools and tracking revenue and outreach responsiveness and trends. This position will work to develop strategies and implement tactics to increases fundraising, upgrade donors, acquire new donors and create new fundraising and outreach opportunities.

 

 

Development Planning Officer

The Development Planning Officer would work as an integral member of the Development team to coordinate various efforts as it relates to stewardship, donor outreach, revenue tracking and cross-departmental efforts. This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional who is detail-oriented and eager to learn about all aspects of fundraising. Key qualities of an outstanding Officer include excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, a self-starter, positive disposition and solid judgment. The Officer must also possess sound time management skills as well as an innate sense of curiosity, pace and urgency. Equally important is the ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and within a team environment. This is an onsite position and is not conducive to telecommuting. Some travel will be required.

 

 

Donor Services Coordinator

The Donor Services Coordinator would work as an integral member of Donor Services team. Key qualities of an outstanding Donor Services Coordinator are exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, positive disposition, self-starter, excellent written and verbal communication skills, goal-orientation, exceptional time management skills and the ability to provide phenomenal customer service. Equally important is the ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and within a close knit team environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional who is customer focused, detail-oriented and eager to learn about all aspects of donor service operations.

 

 

Advancement Officer

Working as a member of a dynamic, fast-paced team, the Advancement Officer will be responsible for building and strengthening the Foundations presence through fundraising and community engagement efforts in specific U.S. territories. The Advancement Officer will report to and work in partnership the Associate Directors of Advancement for their assigned territories, representing the Foundation as an on-the-ground ambassador when appropriate. To help serve our mission of growing our relationships with key constituents both donors and members of the Parkinsons community the Advancement Officer will provide strategic support for the Advancement team while overseeing and leading cultivation and stewardship activities.

 

 

Adminstrative Assistant - Receptionist

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research is seeking a polished, articulate and dedicated Administrative Assistant-Receptionist to support and serve as the face of the Foundation. The ideal candidate will need to be able to own the front desk. A strong candidate for the Administrative Assistant-Receptionist position would be a high-energy, customer service focused, detail oriented and motivated individual with strong inter-personal and communication skills. The Administrative Assistant-Receptionists core responsibility is to maintain the front reception area and provide support to the Administration team and Foundation as a whole. This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional who is customer focused, detail-oriented and eager to learn about all aspects of an outstanding non-profit organization.
