Dr. Bordbar has over a decade of experience in systems biology and bioinformatics, applying mechanistic and statistical models to omics data to design and lead pre-clinical and IRB-approved research studies. Prior to founding Sinopia, Dr. Bordbar served as an independent technical consultant at Intrexon, GT Life Sciences, and Genomatica. Dr. Bordbar has 30+ peer-reviewed publications, is the developer of Sinopia’s core technology and an inventor on all of Sinopia’s patents and patent applications, and has served as the Principal Investigator on 8 SBIR NIH grants with a cumulative funding of more than ~$5.8M since 2014. Dr. Bordbar received his B.S. and Ph.D. from UC San Diego, was awarded the Charles Lee Powell Foundation fellowship, and is a Gordon Scholar in engineering leadership.
