Albert J. Hunt, Jr.

Dr. Albert Hunt is a multi-disciplinary scientist and entrepreneur with expertise in the neuroscience of neurodegenerative disease and stress. He completed training in neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s, ALS, and Alzheimer’s disease, and stress biology, earning his PhD in biomedical sciences from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Graduate School and an MBA from Arkansas State University. As Director of Scientific Operations at Cogentis Therapeutics, Inc., Dr. Hunt has led multiple preclinical studies through industry and academic collaborations. He plays a key role in bridging scientific research with operational strategy, driving critical decision-making, and guiding Cogentis’ team toward its mission—advancing treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.
