Dr. Comella earned her bachelors degree in biochemistry from Smith College, and her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is currently a professor of neurological sciences at Rush University Medical Center and is board certified in neurology and sleep medicine. She is an expert on Parkinson's disease, dystonia, and other movement disorders. Her research interests include biomarker development, clinical features of dystonia, pharmacological studies of movement disorders, sleep problems in Parkinson's disease, restless leg syndrome, and exercise interventions in Parkinson's disease.
