Tatiana Foroud, PhD, is the chair of the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at Indiana University. Dr. Foroud received her PhD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1994. She studies DNA and its changes that influence the likelihood of developing a common, complex disorder such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's and alcoholism. Dr. Foroud also leads several large biorepositories -- laboratories that collect, process and distribute a wide range of biosamples that can be used in research.
