At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to: 

  1. Define Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). 
  2. Discuss the benefits of yoga and meditation for the management of Parkinson's disease (PD). 
  3. Describe what is known about natural dietary supplements in PD. 
  4. Explain how diet can impact Parkinson's disease. 
  5. Describe why research into CAM is so difficult.

This educational activity is designed for primary care physicians, family practice physicians, general medicine physicians, geriatricians, general neurologists, movement disorder specialists and any other health care practitioners who manage patients with Parkinson's disease.
