The Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) is changing how patients, families, doctors and scientists think about brain disease. Call 877-525-PPMI or email joinppmi@michaeljfox.org to learn more and get started today.

People recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and people with Parkinson's risk factors can play a critical role in PPMI. The study covers travel cost for potential participants and a loved one.

PPMI is looking for volunteers who:
 

  • Have been diagnosed with Parkinson's in the past two years and are not yet taking Parkinson's medication
  • Have a parent, brother or sister, or child with Parkinson's (and who are over age 60)
  • Act out dreams while asleep
  • Would like to join as a control volunteer with no known history of brain disease
