Today, The Michael J. Fox Foundation joined 87 patient advocacy and health care organizations to ask lawmakers to support robust and reliable funding for medical research. The appeal, appearing in the current issue of USA Today, highlights how research can improve health outcomes and help reduce medical costs. Congress is currently creating the Fiscal Year 2018 budget and some lawmakers have expressed a desire to decrease federal spending, which could affect research funding. Add your voice to this effort and urge legislators to support the programs and agencies that further Parkinson's disease research.
