Parkinson's IQ + You FAQ

COVID-19 Precautions

We recommend all attendees be fully vaccinated. However, at this time, proof of vaccination is not required to attend the event and facemasks are optional. Each event will follow all local rules and guidelines. If you are not feeling well, we kindly ask you to stay home.

  • What does the program cover?

    Parkinson's IQ + You events provide educational content designed to empower people with Parkinson’s, care partners and supporters.  The program focuses on three areas of value for the PD community: (1) building a comprehensive care team and treatment plan, (2) participating in research and (3) forging community connections.

  • What is the cost of the event?

    Free. There is no cost to attend Parkinson's IQ + You events thanks to support from our generous sponsors.

  • What time is the event?

    Check-in and the Partner Expo open at 9 a.m. followed by programming starting at 10:00 a.m. The event will end at 2:15 p.m.

  • Will there be breaks?

    Yes. There will be two breaks. You can leave the room as needed throughout the sessions.

  • Is there parking at the event?

    Yes. Please refer to the individual event pages for specific parking directions.

  • How much is parking at the event?

    Parking is free. Please note that if you do choose to valet your car, the Foundation will not be responsible for those costs. Certain events may require parking validation, which will be provided. Please refer to the individual event pages for more information on parking.

  • I am in a wheelchair. Is the venue fully accessible?

    Accessibility is a top priority. Each individual event will be different, but all attendees in wheelchairs will be able to access the event space. Please refer to the individual event page for more information.

  • Is there a certain age requirement for event guests?

    These events are open to all ages. Please keep in mind if considering bringing children that this will be a full day of educational content.

  • Can I arrive late or leave early?

    We encourage all attendees to arrive on time and stay for the entire event as arrivals and departures can be distracting for panelists. We do understand that schedules may not allow all guests to attend the full program. Registration will remain open all day for those who may arrive late.

  • Can I bring a guest?

    Absolutely! We encourage all attendees to register prior to the event to ensure a faster check-in process upon arrival. Please share the registration link with your loved ones.

  • Can I sit with people I know?

    There is no assigned seating and you may choose to sit with whomever you would like. We encourage you to arrive on time if you plan to sit with your group.

  • What happens if I need to cancel my registration?

    Since this is a free event, there is no formal way to cancel your registration. However, you may email parkinsonsiq@michaeljfox.org to let us know about your cancellation.

  • What type of food will be provided?

    There will be continental breakfast, pre-packaged snacks and boxed lunches. There will also be coffee, tea, water and soft drinks provided throughout the day.

  • What if I have a dietary restriction?

    We will do our absolute best to accommodate any dietary restrictions. If you have any major concerns, please reach out to us directly at parkinsonsiq@michaeljfox.org.

  • Does Michael J. Fox attend the events?

    Although Michael J. Fox would like to be at every event, his schedule does not permit it. He will not be attending these events though he continues to graciously appreciate your support.

  • Is there a hotel block at the event?

    For some events in 2024, there will be limited guest rooms available at a discounted rate. To book a room at the event rate, please contact parkinsonsiq@michaeljfox.org for more information.
