Daiani Machado de Vargas is a postdoctoral fellow in the biochemistry department of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). As a doctoral student at the same institution, she used systems biology bioinformatics tools to establish signature patterns in master regulator activity for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. During her scientific career, she has also acquired extensive experience in molecular biology, focusing on protein characterization, proteomics and gene expression analysis, and in the development of cellular models for neurodegenerative diseases.
