Parkinson's IQ + You, Chicago

Parkinson's IQ + You, Chicago took place on October 1, 2022.

Parkinson's IQ + You is a free educational event designed for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones. This in-person event features a program with sessions on navigating Parkinson's, managing care and learning about research participation. The accompanying Partner Expo includes information on treatment options and local resources for the Parkinson’s community.

Date and Time: Saturday, October 1, 2022; 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. CT
Registration and Partner Expo open at 8 a.m.; program begins at 9:30 a.m. CT

Venue: Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel  
1551 N. Thoreau Dr., Schaumburg, Illinois, 60173 

COVID-19 Precautions: Your safety is our top priority. COVID-19 precautions and the health and safety of our community remain at the forefront of our team’s efforts. All guests will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend Parkinson’s IQ + You, Chicago. In addition, masks will be required when not eating or drinking.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation and event moderator provide an overview of the day's program.

Building Your Parkinson’s Care Team
Panelists discuss the importance of seeing a movement disorder specialist and building a care team of other providers.

Partner Expo is open. Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be available.

Exploring the Latest Parkinson’s Research
Researchers discuss progress, challenges and reasons for optimism in the search for better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s.

More Event Details

Parking: Parking is free for all attendees in the Convention Center parking lot. When entering the hotel, please make a left and there will be a section reserved for event parking. There are 26 handicapped spots. 

Accessibility: The event will take place on the ground level in the Schaumburg Ballroom. There is a separate entrance to the ballroom that can be accessed via a short walk from the Convention Center parking lot. 

Meals: Registered participants will enjoy complimentary snacks and boxed lunches to go. There will also be coffee, tea, water and soft drinks provided throughout the day. We will make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. If you have any major concerns, please reach out to us directly at parkinsonsiq@michaeljfox.org.  

Cost: Free. There is no cost to attend Parkinson's IQ + You events, thanks to support from our generous sponsors.
