Ask the PhD: New Technologies to Treat Parkinson’s

Our mission is to accelerate research toward new treatments, and therapies come in many forms. Many scientists are harnessing technological advances to ease some of the symptoms that are hardest to treat with available medication.

In our latest Ask the PhD video, we talk with Senior Associate Director of Research Programs Jamie Hamilton, PhD, about some of the innovative projects our Foundation is supporting such as vibrating socks to stop gait freezing and a stimulator worn on the neck to help swallowing problems.
