Painting for Parkinson's: Western Artists Reunite to Raise Funds and Awareness for Team Fox

Team Fox members Pat and Carol Hagan have been busy putting together their second annual event, The Quick Finish and Live Auction, at The Western Masters Art Show and Sale in Great Falls, Montana. For those who didn't read about last year’s event in MJFF’s Winter 2011 newsletter, Pat Hagan was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2009. Upon hearing the life changing news, he and his wife, Carol (who is also his business partner and a renowned western artist), knew they had to do something to make a difference.

Last year—after learning that the show had been cancelled—the Hagans worked tirelessly with friends Steve and Nancy Cawdry to bring it back to life. They added a Team Fox fundraising component and raised $45,500 from the Quick Finish and Live Auction. A raffle later in the year brought their 2011 fundraising total over the $60,000 mark.

This year’s show is from March 14-17, with the Team Fox portion on Saturday 3/17. Pat and Carol hope it will be just as successful as last year. Thirteen artists are on hand to participate. If any of you will be in the Great Falls area, stop by the Best Western Heritage Inn or visit the event's Web site for more information.
