Come One, Come All: Corey’s Catsup & Mustard 5K and Charity Walk

Come One, Come All: Corey’s Catsup & Mustard 5K and Charity Walk

After taking up running, it wasn’t long before Team Fox member Rich Tyrol began looking for a Connecticut-based race in support of Parkinson’s disease research. After an arduous search that came up empty, Rich decided to take matters into his own hands and established his own 5K.

On Saturday, August 16th, Rich will co-host the inaugural Corey’s Catsup & Mustard 5K & Charity Walk in partnership with the Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF). Hosted in Manchester, Connecticut, the race is named for the popular, local eatery which signifies the race’s start and end point: Corey’s Catsup & Mustard. After the 5K walk/run, participants will enjoy a post-race block party hosted by Corey’s.

Josh Miller, Technical Director for HMF adds:

"When we spoke with Rich about his interest in supporting Parkinson's awareness and research, we were honored to put our efforts into creating this inaugural event.  Producing the 5K run and half mile walk event that will bring hundreds of people together on a Saturday evening is a great way to support a cause that Rich and so many people are personally connected to.

Inspired by his mother, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1997 at the age of 43, Rich understands the need to bring about greater fundraising and awareness while staying active and fit.  He’s excited to be partnering with HMF and hopes to see this event grow over the years."
