Since being diagnosed with PD at the age of 40, Tamra—a former Weather Channel executive-- has become an outspoken advocate for Parkinson’s awareness and poured her considerable energy and talent into fundraising for research to help speed a cure. In 2000 she founded ‘Team Cantore’ with a mission to bring increased awareness to the changing faces of Parkinson’s. Since then the team has raised an impressive $750,000 for Parkinson’s research, an amount which has been distributed amongst a variety of different Parkinson’s organizations.
