Fox Foto Friday: Keith Cox Gets Marathon Support from the Crowd

On Sunday, November 3rd, 215 Team Fox runners embraced the cold and pushed themselves through 26.2 miles in the 2013 ING NYC Marathon.  Among them was Keith Cox from Spartanburg, SC, pictured here getting high-fives at Mile 23, who waited over 16 months for this moment.  He was scheduled to run the 2012 race and was collecting his baggage at the airport in NY when he received word that the race had been cancelled.  Running in honor of his wife Lisa who has Parkinson’s, this did not dampen Keith’s spirit, and he was back this year and more ready than ever.

After an inspiring weekend with our runners and their friends and family, we were so touched to get the following message from Keith: “Back to the operating room and standing on some sore legs but feeling truly blessed for the experience of running New York with Team Fox. High fiving the crowd and kissing Lisa before the last couple of miles made that day a memory I will never forget.”

Congratulations to Keith and all of our Team Fox 2013 ING NYC Marathon finishers.  You did it!
