Endurance athlete and MJFF staffer Sam Fox (no relation to Michael) sat down with Menís Fitnessí Mike Simone to talk about Tour de Fox ó a 14,000-mile cross-country endurance challenge to unite the Parkinsonís community and to raise $1 million for critical research.
Sam discusses how he came up with Tour de Fox and his training regimen to prepare for 103 straight days on the route:
ďI always feel like Iím training for a run at least as long as a marathon so Iím constantly in running shape. Generally I try to gain weight before I do a trip like this, between 10-15 pounds before June, because I know Iíll be losing a lot of that and I like to bulk up around danger joints, so for me thatís ankles, knees and hips.Ē
