The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF)-sponsored Parkinsonís Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) announced recently a partnership with the New York Stem Cell Foundation Research Institute to create cell lines from PPMI patientsí skin samples to study the biology of Parkinsonís on a cellular level.

MJFF Contributing Editor Dave Iverson reports on the new technology NYSCF will use and the current state of stem cell research in Parkinsonís disease. He speaks with Olle Lindvall, MD, PhD, chairman of the Division of Neurology at the University Hospital in Lund, Sweden and MJFF scientific advisor, and Brian Fiske, PhD, vice president of research programs at MJFF, for the latest in the in the MJFF Parkinson's†Podcast†series.
