It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone, but what a year 2014 was! With so many highlights to recognize and accomplishments to celebrate, our team remains extremely humbled and inspired by the continued enthusiasm and dedication that this Team Fox fundraising community brings to the table every day.
While there is still much work to be done in our collective mission to cure Parkinson’s, let’s take a look back at some of the ways that you helped make 2014 unbelievably awesome.
Team Fox 2014 by the numbers:
$1,000,000: The lifetime fundraising benchmark achieved by THREE Team Fox events in 2014. Congratulations to Susan Bilotta (Tips for Parkinson’s), the Woods family (New England Parkinson’s Ride) and Jim & Chris Edlund (Danville D’Elegance)!
$421,415: The fundraising total raised by the 7th Annual New England Parkinson’s Ride earning the Woods family the number one spot on Team Fox’s Top Fundraisers of 2014 list. This amount is also the largest amount ever raised by a single Team Fox event in one calendar year!
1,849: The number of active Team Fox members who fundraised in 2014.
564: The number of unique ‘Create-Your-Own-Event’ fundraisers held in 2014. From dance marathons and cross-country bike trips to birthday parties and lemonade stands, our Team Fox members thought of it all in 2014!
473: The number of Team Fox athletes who proudly ran, biked, and swam in one of our 13 sponsored athletic events including the NYC Marathon, IRONMAN 70.3 Mt. Tremblant and Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.
50: The number of states visited by Team Fox members Oliver and Terry Holler in their DeLorean. While on the road, the Hollers raised over $75,000 for Team Fox!
19: The number of Team Fox members who completed the inaugural Rim2Rim Grand Canyon Challenge while collectively raising over $80,000 for MJFF.
9: The number of create-your-own events that raised over $100,000 for Team Fox in 2014.
6.7: The total dollars (in millions!) raised by Team Fox members in 2014 to help speed a cure for Parkinson’s disease
