Chad E. Beyer, PhD, MBA, is a professional research scientist with more than 16 years of experience in drug discovery and the business development of medications designed to treat a variety of CNS and neurological disorders.  For more than a decade, Dr. Beyer worked in the Discovery Neuroscience group at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals holding positions with increasing responsibility including serving as the Head of Neurochemistry and leading the Psychiatry Task Force.  During his career, Dr. Beyer successfully managed several drug development teams, contributed to the submission of more than 30 INDs and provided supporting data for the commercialization and life-cycle management of 2 commercial products.  Dr. Beyer’s research career began at the NIH and he subsequently received a BS degree in psychology from Allegheny College, a PhD in pharmacology from LSU Medical Center and an MBA from the Rutgers Business School.  Notably, Chad has authored more than 70 manuscripts, 3 patents, and is the co-editor of a psychiatry review book.
