Jason Wong, PhD, is a senior scientist responsible for therapeutic development at iProgen Biotech, a biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of novel protein-based therapeutics addressing human diseases and otherwise unmet medical needs. Dr. Wong earned his PhD in biochemistry and medical genetics at the University of Manitoba, and his MBA in management of technology at Simon Fraser University. Prior to joining iProgen, Dr. Wong worked as a scientist at prestigious institutions including the British Columbia Cancer Research Centre and the University of British Columbia. During his research career he has managed and executed scientific studies in protein and lipid biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology. His work has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals including the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cytometry, Diabetologia, and Biochemical Journal. Dr. Wong has received several awards including a CIHR Prostate Cancer Research Initiative and a Rix Family Biotechnology MBA Scholarship.
