Eric K. Richfield, MD, PhD

Eric K. Richfield, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurologist and neuropathologist with extensive expertise in clinical and research neuroscience. He has MD and PhD degrees with residencies in neurology, pathology and neuropathology, along with over 15 years as an independent researcher. Dr. Richfield has experience in the practice of medicine, neurology and neuropathology including patient care, clinical neuropathology (including forensic neuropathology), and contributions in the legal field and federal system. Additionally, he has consulted for universities, pharmaceutical companies, and for the federal government in technologies utilized for clinical and research neuropathology. He has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIA, NIMH, and NIEHS), the Department of Defense, private foundations, and industry. He is currently an associate professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Rutgers University, conducting independent research and practicing clinical neuropathology.
