Starting November 1, we asked our community to grab the megaphone and rally their family and friends to support a cure for Parkinson's disease. Throughout the month and including yesterday on Giving Tuesday, nearly 1,100 "crowdfunders" signed up to Fox It Forward and fundraise on behalf of the Foundation.

Through social media video messages, mass emails and door-to-door conversations, this incredible group shared their commitment to a cure and activated more than 3,000 donors to raise $1 million (and counting!), thus helping us meet an end-of-year match.

Meet a few of our Fox It Forward crowdfunders who made this all possible:

Joe Frederick describes why he supports MJFF, “A cure is only possible through research and The Michael J. Fox Foundation is the only charity that I know of that gives 89 percent of what it spends to research programs... You have to admire a charity whose objective is to go out of business."

Jackie Degnan Eberle joined Fox It Forward in honor of her dad who lived with PD before passing away earlier this year,“The Cubs finally won it all, but you weren't here to see it. I hope this donation in your name will help others like you be able to experience those moments precious to them."

Lindsay Reyenga describes why now was the right time to join, "I am a wife, daughter, sister, new aunt and dog-mom to two crazy vizslas. I am 27. I have young-onset Parkinson's disease. This is a part of my life I’ve been reluctant to share... I decided to share now because it’s been a road many have selflessly traveled this far and will continue to travel with me."
